As Chief Investment Officer, Fernando is globally responsible for the definition and communication of the firm’s investment policy, as well as its translation into investment solutions. With over 20 years of management experience in International Wealth Management, Fernando has a deep understanding of investment products and services; including portfolio management, trading, investment advisory, along with product structuring and selection.

Before joining Boreal Capital Management, he was a Senior Manager at Monitor Deloitte in Switzerland, where he provided strategy consulting services for the financial industry. Previously, he was Head of Investment Products & Investment Advisory at ABN AMRO Private Banking (Switzerland) after holding the Head Investment Office position. Fernando has also worked at Clariden Bank (Credit Suisse Group) and BBVA Private Bank.

Fernando has a PhD in International Affairs and Political Economy from the University of St Gallen and is a CFA charter holder. He also holds an Executive MBA from IMD, a Master’s in Financial Markets from the BBVA School of Finance, a Master’s in Physics from the Complutense University of Madrid, and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from U.N.E.D.
